After the holidays!

After a hectic and whirlwind trip I arrived back to work with a thump as I realised how much marking I had to do! Yet, we have still managed to see some more of El Salvador and last weekend we took some students to Lago Coateque, a beautiful lake about 45 minutes away from San Salvador. We hiked, rowed and camped there.

Surprisingly I didn’t fall out of the row boat and we even managed to slide swiftly across the water (well, when one of us steadied the boat and the other rowed, we did!) If youd don't believe me, check out the photos below!

The other news is that I have had to change my maid (again!). Not through choice this time, though! Reina, our second maid, had a beautiful son called Jeremy and is now on maternity leave.

Our new one is called Blanca, meaning white, for an excellent reason. She manages to get everything beautifully shining white! It is remarkable; there is no way I could get my floors that clean. Hurrah to the ex-pat lifestyle that I am adopting more and more every day!

Look at the photos below of our trip to the lake.

Argentina!!

For the Christmas holidays, I took off to the land of wine, steak and Tango! It was certainly an adventure .. within days I found myself keeping company with some of the best wines in the country, jumping off mountains and descending from high heights!

Take a look at the photos below!
